ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
The United States international has been a welcome success story for the Bianconeri this season following his return to Italy from a forgettable loan spell at Leeds in early 2023 that delivered relegation out of the Premier League.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
McKennie has seen his versatility put to good use by Massimiliano Allegri and has proved to be a reliable performer in whichever position he is asked to fill. The 25-year-old has always been most at home in the middle of the park, though, and it is from there that he delivered another two assists in his latest appearance.

WHAT MCKENNIE'S FATHER SAID
McKennie now has nine assists across all competitions this season, but his contribution to the collective cause is still not enough for some of those that were desperate to point fingers of blame on the back of a 2-2 draw with Atalanta. McKennie’s father, John, has posted on social media after seeing his son return to action after injury while wearing a shoulder brace: “He puts it on the line risking further injury and it’s still not enough for the couch pundits.”
-
WHAT NEXT FOR MCKENNIE?
Only Manchester City talisman Kevin De Bruyne (11) has bettered McKennie’s return of seven assists in Europe’s top five divisions this season and he will be hoping that there are many more to come as Juve seek to wrap up Champions League qualification.
