    Kit man-turned-coach Shelley enjoyed an eventful run through the first three series of the Apple TV+ production, as he took in two spells alongside American coaching rookie Lasso. That journey appeared to have come to an end in May 2023.

    There have, however” been “rumblings” of a reunion for some time, with Mohammed among those to have kept the rumour mill ticking over on social media. Contract options are said to have been taken up on leading stars, with pre-production being lined up for early in 2025.

    Warner Bros executives have hinted at Lasso and Co returning to the small screen, while Phil Dunster – who plays enigmatic striker Jamie Tartt – has admitted to a fourth series being “green-lit”. Mohammed has now told that “all of us have been chatting” as popular characters prepare to step back into the world of AFC Richmond.
